Advanced Scaffold

If you need a rigging licence to make your next move in construction, the experienced team at Access Training can help. With deep knowledge of scaffolding and a strong desire to teach, we deliver high-quality training solutions that’ll give you the skills you need – including safely working with a wide range of heights and platform gear on construction sites.

OVERVIEW

This advanced scaffolding licence course includes the theoretical and practical components to meet the skills and knowledge required to safely perform advanced scaffolding work for the high-risk work licence class SA.

Scaffolding work involves erecting, altering or dismantling a temporary structure to support a platform from which a person or object could fall more than four metres.

Participants will gain the following skills and knowledge involved in scaffolding work:

  • cantilevered hoists
  • hung scaffolds, including scaffolds, hung from tubes, wire ropes or chains
  • suspended scaffolds

Training and assessment are conducted at Access Training facilities. Upon arrangement, training and assessment can be conducted at the premises of industry clients providing there are suitable industry training facilities.

Competence in this unit does not in itself result in a licence. A licence is obtained after competence is assessed under applicable Commonwealth, state or territory work health and safety (WHS) regulations.
